1HZ fuel economy.... IM STOKED!!

Post by slowhilux »

I got from Epping, Sydney, to Surfers Paradise today on 114litres of fuel. Thats 885 km. This is with the back full of shit for 2 weeks holiday (1 week on Fraser Isalnd), air con on all the way and 35" tires. Worked out to be about 13L/100km !!!! How good is that for somethiong that probably weighs over 2500kg as is!!!

I was expecting to have to fill up at Grafton or Ballina at the latest, but she just kept on goin!!

What does everyone else get?

Just came off Fraser.......worked out to be using about 17.5-18L/100km!! I thought it would be more than that!! Altho, 95% of the island is 2wd   , only time i needed 4wd was at Indian head where the sand was deep and soft.......quite amusing watching everyone geting bogged.....got a fair bit of that on video. brand new 100 series TD, pulled up next to me and stopped, had a yarn, he laughed at people getting stuck, he went to take off, sunk, down to the chassis rails   . He told me he was "OK", so i said "No worries", and took off....what a dickhead.....

100 litre tank - about 400 kms on road. Don't even want to guess what it would be off road
