hj45 fuel filter housing

Post by rigger329 »

Hi
My new project veh is a 77 hj45 - but the fuel filter bowl (metal) has a crack in it at the bottom where the bolt goes through, anyone know where i could pick up a replacement.
what type of cav filter could i use instead, and can i cut the banjo nuts off the end of the pipes and use hose to attach to a new cav filter housing.

sorry this is so long any advice would be appreciated

cheers ed

It's just a bowl, so, if you cant find one second hand, you may be able to look at welding it up. A good welder could TIG it up with minimal distortion, I'm sure.

maybe a cav style from the local tractor farm machinery place. a double with glass h2o trap is about $70 they are on ebay as well. metal bowel is difficult to repair because of general and ongoing corrosion. If petrol maybe a plain disposable inline job < $10 any auot outlet
