wow you really have no clue as to what people here have been talking about. She was given the answer, she was given advice as to where to look for more info and she was given advice as to how to better her experience here.

If you know a fair bit about 4wds maybe you could have helped your girlfriend with the info she needed. Maybe you should actually read what people on here are saying and maybe take the time to also make your posts alittle easier for everyone to read so we all can share and use your info as well.

Wow this has really started to get interesting/annoying now.
As much as i would love to egg you on BrentE this is not the place for it. I am sure that everyone here on the Suzi forum meant no offense to you or amandalove44wds1989. You guys are more than welcome to post tech related questions at any time. Please try to use the correct spelling and grammar, that way we can provide you with the best answers.

Firstly, some of you may have noticed over time that when a noob asks an old question quite often a new answer is given. Yes, it is easier if they do a search and post in an old thread, however not everyone is quite so savvy with the search functions on these forums.

Bear in mind that almost everything technically related could be crammed into less than 50 threads. Would make a pretty boring forum wouldn't it?

Different threads on different days head in different directions, often encouraging people to think of new ideas that may have otherwise not been thought of. This is a discussion forum, whilst a reduction in the BS threads might help things, the education of those members who don't know how to properley use the search function will make a difference.

If you feel the need to post the term "Search" or "use the Bible" you will now be required to do the following:
-post atleast two links to relevant threads on this forum
-post up instructions on how that particular member can use the search function for their future reference.

Stop the bickering in the Zook section, two words "Toot" and "Toot"
amandalove44wds1989 i have a sierra so im not too familiar with Vits. I would not advise a body lift as quite a few of us that have them wish we didn't (especially tools like me with a 3 inch one  )and it will make your car unroadworthy.
Start with upgrading your tires and go from there. i would advise 29" or 30" mud's then getting bigger when you are ready. Buying tires is probably the one of the most expensive things you can do to your 4by so it will be good to get that out of the way.

here is some inspiration.

i got a set of 235x75 r15 goodyear wrangler all terrains i want gone. pm me if you want them should fit on a vit fine with a little lift. in QLD you are allowed 2" of lift no worries. not sure on tire size but about an 1" bigger tops by law. so you are limited legally to 75mm total lift.

get in contact with qld transport about what is legal.

That's kinda the point of most of the posts on the first page. There is a Sierra bible. There is a Vitara bible. The bibles contain links on specific subjects that have been discussed in the past and which are likely to be helpful to others in the future.

If you don't have the commitment or sufficient interest to read through the helpful information contained in the bibles, then why should you expect others to repeat the same info again and again just for your convenience?

Sheesh

People on this forum *do* have lives outside of OuterLimits and don't want to waste their time repeating themselves. So if a noobie has "little understanding of wtf (the bible) is... let alone to use it" then the best thing we can do is direct the noobie in that direction.

Brent, chill out mate.

Jeeps, yea I lovem, recon as they are the best unmodified 4wd ever, and once modified, crikey can they go, Ive had two.

I now own 2 Zooks, one is a rat, and she is stunning, simply amazing, the other is stock, so far, and she has a 1.6 injected, and yea she goes like a power.

Zook an Jeep people are pretty much the same, zook people think zooks are the only 4wds worthy, and same same Jeep people, me, I love wranglers, and I love my zooks, my zook is modified as far as I can go for what I do, and yet me mates jeep takes it on with only beefy tyres

Getn all hyped up gets ya nowhere in life, spesh here on the net.

So chill some, read what is being sed, take heed, just as you would or anything being offered as knowledge, and see how far that takes ya.

You can't afford to mod a Zook so you're buying a Jeep??? Mate, I changed from a Jeep to Sierra because the Jeeps cost a fortune to run and repair. You could run and mod the Suzuki for less than the running costs of the Jeep. Deep down i'd love a Jeep but to get one as capable as my $4000 Sierra i'd need at least $16000.

x2 (With todays price of petrol, you will regret buying a second hand Jeep)

I suggest you buy a Vitara or have a 1.6 EFI put in your Sierra.
Seriously, I have nothing against Wranglers, but unless you have the money to buy a brand new 'Diesel' Wrangler (which I guess you don't), your fuel bill is going to suck your wallet dry.
Don't take this the wrong way, but as your an apprentice go the cheaper options. I've seen too many young people get themselves in trouble, because they bought something which they couldn't afford. Wait a few years until you're on full tradesman wages then buy your Wrangler.

My last 4ltr wrangler was cheaper on petrol than my 1.3l sierra.

12lph as to 14lph.

Do the maths.

Talk about how cheap a zook is to build, how its so light that it floats when many cannot begin to even consider going, do not speak of fuel usage.

A fuel injected 1.6ltr as stock standard, yea, but a 1.3 played with so it can compete, yea right

I get 10Litres per every 100kms out of my 1.3 Zook (Extractors through to 2" exhaust). Also taking into consideration my odometer is out, because of my larger tyres (Not too large, only 235's) its probably more like 9.2Litres per 100kms. Zook mileage can vary considerably because of things such as modifications, tired/worn motors or even poor maintenance and tuning.

In regards to power and drivability, even with the larger tyres My Zook can hold 110kph reasonably well even in fifth gear (on stock gearing as well).

Regarding 12lph economy for your wrangler…
I had a mate who owned a new Wrangler a few years ago. He said his fuel economy was sh!t. I'd imagine normal Wrangler economy would be around 15lph. You must have had a 'Monday' Wrangler and 'Tuesday' Sierra.

Or a HiClone installed in your Wrangler :finger:

hehe lol this thread is way off topic and at the start some people could have been a lil more tactful, think amanda is gone.
but on the recent subject my sierra would easily get 100km off 10L but it does usually only run at 90-100km top lol but they are 4wd's so top speed does not matter.
and yes i use the abbreviation lol because im happy and like to express it alot. ciao.

regarding fuel econamy, my sierra with a standed 1.3 and 2inch zorst and extracters, 235x75r15 tyers gets about 9 to 10l per 100ks on the freeway, that was sitting on 120ks reving at 4000rpm in 5th the hole way, mine dosent use any more than 10l per 100ks no mater how i drive it
