Factory crossmember location for FJ40 Gearbox

Post by little rusty »

Hi guys

Can anyone local to Brisbane let me measure up the location of a factory gearbox mount so I can install a 5 speed into my shorty? Its the crossmember that mounts to the front bottom of the gearbox...

would like to drop round and measure it up and take some photos... this weekend would be best...

Cheers

The chassis widths vary depending on the year model of your 40. A g/box cross member from an '80 - '84 model is 625 at the front and 640 at the rear as the chassis tapers. PM me if you need one. Cheers.
