Pics of 60 series Long Range Tanks
Hi al. I'm considering buying either a replacement or an auxillary long range tank for my 60. I am a little concerned that they will hang down too low, or the auxiallry may not fit due to the exhaust or the hand brake cable. Can anyone show me pics of these tanks installed? I've seen a few on IH8Mud, but would like to see some more.

I can post up pics prob on Friday after I been round at my old mans place. I fitted one up to mine and is nice and snug, not too low... the handbrake cable is a bit tight but works(well maybe not"work", it is a toyota handbrake remember!!) Sorry no pictures at the moment: but my tank does sit a bit low but a very flat bash plate actually helps to stop me getting hung up on the rear diff.
I did have to re-route the exhaust down the left hand (passenger) side but it is tucked up nicely and flows well.It is a 2 1/4" system.
The second tank is completely separate from the original tank,with the filler for the second tank in the original filler flap.
Both tanks have fuel gauge senders working off the original gauge. Tanks are switched via a solenoid

I'm thinking I like the idea of an auxillary tank. Can this be somehow gravity fed from the main tank? I'm thinking no as the main tank would need a large (fill size) outlet low in the tank.

i have seen an auxillary tank set up in pic's but don't know how it all works. one i did see hard a line from the drain on the main tank running down to the auxillary tank

Thanks guys. I can see that some mods would need to be made to the exhaust to get the auxillary tank to fit. The replacement tank has the disadvantage of extra weight behind the rear axle. Although it shouldbe only 60-90kg.
