My 95 4.2 diesel GQ has a differnt airbox which a K and N wont fit into. why would this be. it hasn't had a snorkel on and im just wondering why they are different

cant really say much without seeing the box, good news is if you cant fit the k and n you wont wreck your motor due to their pathetic filtration.
