Yep, would have to agree there. Although i have, and still am fan of detroits, I can't say i was happy with the airlockers. I was talked into the air lockers from the detroits and after i sold the maverick, went back to detroits and autolockers. Put them in and forget them. I had seal problems, airline problems, compressor problems. Just my opinion though, but i couldn't spend to money on anther air locker, not worth the drama. I hated mucking around with switchs thou and turning it off around corners etc.
Cheers to that buddy, the less parts,l the less problems!!

wow, this thread is rather informative, good views from both sides, im looking at going lockrite (goannawhere) in the front of my hzj75. Stupid question time...... when the wheels are spinning (as in wheels are turning but cars not going anywhere) and you turn the steering wheel do they unlock and relock again when the wheels are forward facing or just stay locked?
Jabber gone. Now have 98 nissan terrano and a 94 4.2ldiesel rv troopy on 33s slowly getting the fancy bits. How the hell do I change my user name?

I find it quite ammusing that every time someone asks about lockrites there has to be a debate on arb verses lockrite. I have lockrites front and rear in my 97 ln106 lux and run 35 mudzillas and it is fantastic. landcruiser canyon no worries , terrago step up is a breeze and yeah it is a bit harder to turn but does not really bother me. Can't fault them ! I talk with people who have arb in their rigs and say it is near impossible to turn when locked but I have not had any so can't comment. I am building up a gu patrol at the moment and selling all my other cars as am sick of paying all the regos and only being able to drive one. I will be putting ARB lockers in that but only as I will have the cash to do so. I guess I am trying to say if that is what the budget allows put them in you will not be dissapointed!!
