Long story but just trying to get my snorkel to actually seal in2 the motor...
basicly i had leeks everywhere... but i have them sorted now...
One of my main issues is (was) from the carbi hat to the carbi.. round the top of the carbi i am assuming there should be a factory rubber seal? or something??
mine was missing this completely so i made one out of a old stubby holder.. (was all i could find at the time) cut it to the right size ring and now its all good
my question is.. does fuel eat wet suit material?? and is it worth getting a new seal from Suzuki?

Hey jonno I wouldn't trust it just get a piece of rubber sheet and cut one out of that will work much better I think? Cheers Robb

ok, i went and got my zook this morning to drive for the weekend and i have a spare moment at work so i measured it up.
standard sierra
i measured the hat up at fractions under 68mm so the following o'rings will work.
Metric 68.0x2.5 (insert the thickness of oring you want at the end)
BS038 = ID 66.68MM X 1.78MM
BS039 = ID 69.85MM X 1.78MM
BS147 = ID 68.26MM X 2.62MM
BS231 = ID 66.68MM X 3.53MM
BS232 = ID 69.85MM X 3.53MM
BS = British Standard (imperial)
choose the one that suits and use the BS number to order.
you can also get Back Up rings (rectangle/flat) and Quad Rings (also known as square o rings but are actually like 4 o rings joined so if cut into a section kind of looks like a four leaf clover). These are also available and you just replace the BS with BU or QR and any bearing shop should be able to help you out.
