It is the first time you have run this event , keep it simple run all teams in one class then make changes if necessary next year. Most competitors have entered knowing it is a one class event & some have probably gone out & spent money on bigger tyres to compete in it.

yeah i reckon leave it as 1 class also.
most people dont go there expecting to win. those who do have spent the coin to be in that position.

whats the go on site, what facilities are available? will there be catering /bbq etc?

just wondering how much stuff to pack.

Cheers

I personally would like to see the buggy type vehicles in a seperate class.

Cars that genuinely fit within the rules in a seperate class.

but than out of the rules what are they going to constitue as a buggy , considering no buggy's are allowed.

i say keep it as one class , unless because of all the big names coming you've gone out and modded the tracks to test their vehicles , than it might be abit too challanging , but if the tracks were made and designed for all than the big names popped up than so be it , them driving the tracks we were going to be driving anyways wont change anything etxcept the overall placings , and as said if your in it to win it , you need to have the rig capable to go up against other capable rigs , other wise your out there just to see how well you can do .

or you could split it into 2 classes
1) 1.3ltr engine running 35" tyres and under , with female navi's
2) the rest :D :D

the tracks have been driven by a hilux on 35'"s but the hilux is pretty capible. And as everyone knows as soon as a stop watch is started and the buntings up it all changes.

The tracks havent been made harder to cater for the big boys, they will do a lot of it easier. There is actually one lot of bonus points on Stage 2 that the big cars physically will not get.

I think it will stay as one class and we will put some more prizes into the rest of the field, maybe next year we will run 2 classes. We will see what everyone thinks this year, we think they are fantastic stages, all challenging but driveable, there will be no penalties for winching on any stage, just the time loss.

We are all excited and stressed at the same time, it will allow all teams good seat time ( 30 mins ) of adrenilin charged competition. Bring It On.

As this is our first comp we are trying to keep it simple. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come along but at this stage promotion is word of mouth any questions about the comp or camping will be answerd here.

Phil Noble is no longer able to come, Wayne Murphy is now looking for a second car.

The second Suzuki team is Jerome Beeson & Paul Pasani in Sierras.

Chad , im sure you could manage to find someone to fill the passengers seat for you ..... then if you can drive everything they wont even have to hop out & get their hands dirty !!!! AS IF !!!!!

seriously though ... get in touch with Wayne Murphy & see what you can sort out with him

I was told Phil had a couple of small repairs or sumthin, no time to fix them and work commitments. It is still a very high quality field.

there will be 2 stages run on Sat .... 1st stage starts at 2pm , 2nd stage will be run in the dark ( lighting for spectators ) , then another 2 stages to be run on Sunday

there is a field of 34 teams ..... this means 68 cars will be able to have a start at stages 1,2 & 3 ..... with only the vehicles that can make it to the 100 point marker on stage 3 being able to attempt stage stage 4
