Auto locking hubs

I have a gu front diff and the hubs wont disengage after putting them back into auto. I can pull them off and push the end of them in and that resets them but not sure what wrong any ideas??

reverse back 2mtrs and it usually unlocks them.
piss them off and put manual hubs on.. best of everyworld specially since your locking them anyway instead of the auto...

Has anyone had success in doing the posted conversion of the auto hubs into manual locking by modifying internals

there was a thread recently by some dude that did it, was happy iwth result, it worked perfectly.
but he was too fukin lazy to get out of the car to lock them, so converted them back to Auto hubs.

Why would you modify the Auto hubs to be manual? if your going to that much trouble, get manual ones, atleast you don't need to have the tyre iron with you to lock them in, if you have that in the back of the car and want to lock them in but can't get to it cause you have your tools and that around it, your up the creek :)

yeah just put the new diff in have the manuals under house off the gq diff but lost the alloy ring to locate the hubs .

go to Cashies or similar buy a 21 mm socket weld on t piece for handle and put in door pocket always there when needed
