went wheeling the other day and got stuck in a deep mud hole and now my dash lights wont turn off ive got a 94 hilux dualcab???????????? help please :roll: !!!!!!!!!

check your alterator it will have mud in the contacts [bushes]

get a hose to the alternator hose the back where the hole are just hose it to see if any mud comes out .

OR you might have to pull it out its a pr#ck of a job you will have to pull the air con pump off to get to the alternator all the belts then its easy to get it out

run the hose thru it while running while tapping it with a hammer
if this does not fix it then its voltage reg time or brushes

Mate, your little knob for turning the dash lights up and down isnt turned down?

I had the same problem had a auto elec check the alternator, and it wasnt chargeing. I just got a new one and fitted that in. Lights on the dash turned off straight away..

Nah they were just on all of them when the motor was running but the alternator wasnt charging proply.
