Post by Turbo Tonka »

hey all.i read a while ago one bloke off this forum was starting a 3rz conversion into a 3L lux.I have a 2.8d 3L but am after a little more go for onroad.

Just wondering how much work actually does go into such a conversion and what parts are needed???mounts, does the box match up?clutch etc.And i guess some good places to grab this motor if people think it is a good choice.Or v6 commy?? thanks in advance anyone

its a very very easy swap....u use a 3rz clutch and 2wd bellhousing, bolt that bellhousing to ur exsisting g52 box.
With mounts, it uses the stock mounts, u can cut them off the frame and re attatch them, or make a adapter sorta plate. I like the cut and remount option, looks factory just with better welds...
do a search there is plenty of info, sus Lux_89s build up to, i think he has pics when we did his
