How much is a "big lift"?
Coil sierras have dodgy suspension geometry at the best of times. More than about 2.5" of lift and all sorts of things suffer anyway so I'dbe trying to keep the lift low and run the tyres you want by other means like a BL and guard chop.

F&R ARB air lockers, lux diffs, 4 link coil rear, drop shackles, inboarded ranchos, stage 4 reduction gears, 35" silverstones, 9500 winch, RUF, 1.6 EFI, swimming goggles
i have pedders suspension has custom made it all for me
i told them what i wanted and we measured then after we measured and yes 3 inch lift

Have you done any searching on the topic of the coily's and their suspension setups? How they came from the factory with a very compromised suspension setup? Have you read any of the threads by people like spamwell and his custom mods?

i know more than you prob think but for some reason my coily is going ok with my life
i have never bent an arm and i have not twisted my chassis or cracked my fire wall so my lift is going good. im going to go up another inch so i can get some 33inch under there
shell be right if not just spend some more money

If you want to fit better tyres, why not chop the guards or a body lift (if not already installed). Fitting taller springs does not allow you to runbigger tyres, unless you fit such a stiff spring that it no longer compresses to the same point of the older springs. Longer bump stops, chopped guards or a body lift will help fit bigger tyres. The coily gemoetry is pretty average and the suspension is weak. As previously said, have a look at Spamwell's build.

Coilers have crap suspension at stock height. Just because they have coils in itself doesn't mean they are better than leaves.
Adding lift does nothing to improve any of the design problems the suspension has, and will make all of the existing problems worse.
They are designed for 5" of front travel and 6" of rear travel. Trying to get lift and travel out of them with decent balance and drivability is almost impossible.

No, I've never owned one, but ive spent hours and hours and hours lying under one trying to work out how to get the bugs out of them, I have caster corrected one, body lifted one, transfer case converted one, built a bar for one, built bumpstop spacers, and repaired torn axle brackets....
Good luck with the bushes - there's no rubber replacements so replacement bushes are urethane, which makes the bushing bind worse, which makes the front wheel lifting problem worse , loads up the mounts and leads to increased mount failure.
The key as to why you haven't had problems is "so far." Those that have owned coilers for long periods and wheel them with well built leaf cars are more than aware of the problems with them.
You need to caster correct badly at 3" of lift. Once caster corrected they steer very well, the ONE area where they are better than a leaf car.

i honestly dont think it is that bad...
castor does need to be corrected... so i will look in 2 bushings then..
has any one tried to adapt a gq bushing or something similar?? thinking i may make custom arms such as spamwells..

i had to put in 3degree of caster to fix the problem
once that was done its drives like a dream

jonno, I don't think bushes are a valid way of correcting caster in a coiler. They increase bushing stiffness, which is the last thing they need.

I thing Tough Dog make an adjustable panhard rod for the coily and Snake Racing might too.
Snake Racing make castor corrected trailing arms as well with rubber bushes so you get plenty of flex from them.
I reinforced the trailing arm mounts on the rear diff for mine as they started to tear and since then, no worries !
I reckon a 4 inch lift on a coily will be awesome. Go for it and let us know how it went!
