What to paint the floor with

Post by Ausi fj »

I have just had my fj45 body sandblasted. I want to paint the floor with a good sealer of some type. I DON"T want to put in any carpet, just use a textured floor paint. Any suggestions on what to use.

I would paint it with rust bullet to stop any further rust and then use one of the roll on ute liner type finishes or get it rino lined.
Just remember it's going to be a bastard to get off if you need to do any repairs in the future

That is the finish I am looking for. How much and where did you get it from.
Thanks

Its called Aquaflek..You can get similar types.
Its just primarily called spatter paint.. some call it colourflek.
Comes in a 1lt tin..this is plenty.
you have to spray it on. Very high pressure around 100psi and a 2mm upwards tip on youre spray gun. I etch primed the floor first then sprayed it on. You need to place then gun close as possible when spraying.
Its around $50 a tin

Most paint shops have it.....
If you want more pics go to my thread..

Friend of mine just put hurculiner in his cab. We've had this stuff in the bed of our trucks for years and it's never been flaky. Not sure if you guys have autozone, Kragen, or some kind of auto store. But it ran $100 for the gallon. I'll try to get some pictures and post em.

You can get it here in Oz but youll pay a couple of hundred for it and its hard to get. I have heard that it comes off aswell, but I guess its all in the prep work too.

Just Rhino line it, or herculine it, or even paint in some hard as body deadener, then paint over it, if you want it to look clean on top of that.
hands and mums dont count!!!
