search on here for leaf spings and hilux and you will find more info that you can poke a saggy spring at.
I have an 90 mod lux and i went a full EFS 2 inch lift. cost me about 1000 with everything.
If i was to do it again and had the cahs i would sppek to locked up 4x4 and go the full suite of trail gear, awsome flex for leaf springs.
but at the end of the day it depends on what you want to do with the car - rock crawler, tourer, work truck etc and how much $$ you are prepared to put into it

I have a 91 DC lux and ended up going to a RidePro suspension, I find the shocks are great and slightly bigger bore than other shocks.
I think for everything, included bushes, steering dampener, shackles , u-bolts etc etc was about 1400 and put it myself with a mate.

It's hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by geese.
OME Dakars here on a 92- Pretty happy with them, esp for the price ($140 a pack) My only issues have been that the medium duties i specced for the rear are more like light duties, so ive bought some HD springs for the rear to fit soon, and the front spring perches have bent, which is causing the front springs to sag.
its worth doing the shackles and pins at the same time too- ive got a set of oldish Rock crawler greasables on the front of mine and brand new OME ones on the rear, and you can tell which ones are the older more pitted and chewed out ones just from ride.
