GV lift/tyre questions.

Well i have a 2.5 inch lift
Tough dog nitrogen gas charged shocks and tough dog springs

Tyres
Goodyear wranglers mt/r LT 225 / 75 / R16

i did not put these on my car i bought the car like this

I was looking at the MTR sizes the other night and it appears that size isn't available now?

How about the Cooper STT?

...not that I have used Cooper before but the wear on any such tyres is going to be pretty good on a light Vitara.

Other possibilities: Maxxis, Kumho, Toyo, BFG...

Damn! I just looked on the Cooper website and they've stopped making the Discoverer Sport as well. I've only had mine for about 6 months, but they're excellent for on road driving. The options for 235/60R16 are getting less and less.....

how long will the coopers last

and now i know there are many different types of variables to this question
what type of tyres last longer
road
all terrain
mud

used 50% on road 50% off road (off road anything from mud to rocks to forest tracks)

i would think the mud would last longer coz it has more rubber (i know the rubber is softer) but you can get the 80% road 20% off road mud tyres

I think you need to be a bit more realistic about your on/off road bias.

My sierra is parked 10km from the tracks I drive and would still do more km on 2WD roads than on tracks (and runs swampers)

50/50 balance on/offroad is right into swamper/centipede territory IMHO.

the lowest point it the back dif and it is 230 mm off the ground and the next point is the muffler at 270 mm

How bout urs, with that much of lift. how far the lowest point of the body to the ground?
Are you having problem with postivie chamber, CV, etc?
How much did you spend for the lift excluding the tyres?

ok since vitaras and others get a hilux diff put in them
and a GRAND vitara get a hilux dif put in them with out to much trouble and cost (its for dif lockers)
