40series with a 2H diesel engine?

Post by twr7cx »

I've got an FJ45 with a 2H diesel engine in it. Now the radiator needs to be replaced. The current radiator I believe is the standard FJ45 one for the 2F engine. I believe this because the radiator hoses do not look correct, the the top one has an extra tight twist in it, and the bottom one has a joiner.

So I'm wondering if there is a 40series that came standard with a 2H engine in it, so that I can get a radiator from this model that will hopefully bolt straight into my FJ45 (i.e. without having to make custom mounts or drill holes etc).

So, any ideas?

you need a hj 45/47 radiator, the diesel equivelent for the fj45,they came with the 2 h motor in later models or the h diesel in the earlier models

you can rotate the top hose mount 120deg as the bolt holes are triangular in pattern. To reduce any unneccisary bends in the hose.

I've had both FJ and HJ radiators for my 2H. Both worked fine.
At first I thought it was a sea anemone, upon closer inspection I realised it was a funky ball of tits from outer space.
