What do others do to keep these sealed. I never have a trouble in daily drivers its just in my suzuki truggy on lux diffs I can't keep them sealed. The housing is straight the insides of the knuckle are worn a bit :? (multible smashed cvs) Surely there are different ways. I have heard of poly pipe being hammered into the housing bout what size and how long?

Try replacing the brass bush in the spindle that the cv runs in if too worn the cv will move up and down letting oil bypass the seal

you could also put some stag sealing paste on the outer edges for a better seal, but as mentioned earlier, excessive CV movement could be opening it up - so check kingpin bearings and shimming.

When you end up pulling it all apart again, when you pull the inner axle seal out check for wear in either the top or bottom of the seal. You sill see the point of the seal worn down flatter. If this is the case then your king pin shims are setup slightly wrong. So if the seal is worn on the bottom the nuckle is sitting to low putting pressure on the lower side of the seal. To fix move one shim from underneath to above. I would start with the skinny shims first.

This method is a little bit of trial and error but without the correct tools to measure and adjust the offset of the kingpin it is the only way I know of.

Even the best seals won't last if the kingpin is not centred to the housing. My vote for shim adjustment.
