Nissan Patrol electrics

Post by muddydigger »

Guys im trying to figure out why my right hand high beam wont work.
Ive tested the bulb and its fine,t here is no power to the high beam line on that light.
ive tested the fuse in the fuse box (footwell) and its fine too.
Is there another fuse box somewhere I cant find? or any other suggestions?

Have a look at the loom where the wires come out for the right head light. Mine were buggered and were causing a short in the system. Kept losing my right head light because of the fuse blowing. Yours could be completely separated hence no fuse blowing.

Possibly the headlight switch, which is cause for many h/light problems on early GQ's.

Fixed.
Seeing as i had feed to my left high beam, I re wired to a fused relay and then ran heavy duty wire to the high beams.

Could be the actual high beam stalk on the steering column is being dicky.... I seem to remember that the complete power for the headlight runs through this switch? have a look at that....
