Power steering pulley

Post by twodiffs »

Hi all

I thought I had a water pump on the way out but tracked the 'whirring' noise to the power steering pulley, do i have to replace the pulley itself or
is it a case of fitting a new bearing?

Cheers

False alarm - it was the water pump after all so I bought a new one from BNT and will put it on tomorrow. ($85 kiwi for a new pump made in Japan, I'm a happy chappy :D ).

Footnote: I phoned Nissan and they didn't have any diagrams or listing for a power steering pulley bearing, BUT I did phone a p/steering guy in town who said there is a bearing in behind the pulley and yes it can be replaced. So all good.
