if you dont want to spend money on it, then simply let it be, when tyres are due go for 215/75r15's and the tread pattern that best suits the terrain its on.
Keep up the servicing/maintenance and itll go another 20 years.

mate of mine has a quite capable near stock one it has
2" body lift made of rhs box tube
2" ext shackles home made
weld rear diff
32 monrels on s/h f100 wheels
cost something like $500 - 600 all up
and it will go near anywhere (within reason)
85 high roof 1.3, 6.5 tc, air lockers,ruf and 34 swampers. yep its an ugly pos.
Well iv removed the two sway bars and stripped the interior
Ill weld the diff later on as thats a little more work but for now i have to find out whats wrong with it after running for 20min the other day plus it idled for an easy hour whilst i was doing the inside (i was charging the battery) now it wont start i suspect fuel filter other have said fuel pump i will let yas know and ill get some pics of me adding to the love taps
