boost is at about 12psi at the moment have played around with it a little bit can get it up to about 17 at 3500rpm but doesnt seam to make much difference with temp. like it does a lil but it has never over heated just up hills sits just above halfway on the gauge but doesnt get any hotter well not yet anyway have done 30,000km on motor and turbo so far. before turbo use to sit around the first quarter on gauge.

im running the DTS kit on my GQ wagon, ive had the injector pump rebuilt with the boost compensator and tuned to suit, im running a standard radiator that i pulled out of a wreaked truck, so no idea on the condition,

normally it would always sit around 1/2 on the gauge, give it a boot full up long hills it would climb a touch but no probs, it gets the 3/4s on the gauge when towing the car trailer loaded up with my GQ comp ute on the back,

prob is the factory temp gauges are not that accurate, so your best bet is to fit an aftermarket gauge and watch and see what temps your actually getting.

just over half is nothing to worry about mate...

try dropping it back a gear and let the motor rev a little higher and therefor breathe.

also get an aftermarket gauge :)

i have both aftermakret and standard temp gauges on my gq. so for whats its worth about half on the standard dash gauge is around 85-90deg on my autometer gauge.

it is pretty common for turbo'ed gq's to run hotter then their n/a counterparts. if its gettin excessivly hot then an aftermarket upgraded radiator is your best bet. they are not cheap, but pretty reasonable in comparison to a rebuilt kit ofr your td.
