Snorkel Options for TD42 Stainless or Safari

Post by figjam_1985 »

Hi all, before i start, i have searched but what im looking for is not answered
Im looking to do a snorkel, but im stumped as to what to do,

I like the millweld design, alot, althought the price is steep, and im going for the more harder look. I dont like the seperate piece designs alot of people have in the stainless.. I have had safaris before and i rekon there great but the look however, im wanting a different style this time

What i want to know is, if the 4 inch from millweld is over kill for TD42T Gq and just stick to the tried and tested safari.

Whats everyone done out there? Anyone using the millweld one.

How much is he actually charging ?

From memory i think he charges about 500ish that was about 12 months ago and at the price its reasonable.

4" snorkle will howl alot more but unless your planning on doing other mods like turbo/airbox, big pump its only going to be for looks factor....

If you want a simple snorkle get a factory gu nissan as they bolt up better than a gu safari snorkle...

yes, there still 500, i have a turbo and a grenade airbox mod atm, i was chasing it for a bit better airflow, the pump was the next mod on the cards, so i thought i better take a look at something larger.

Will it make alot of in cab noise? is that what you mean by howling? thats not a problem really lol, the exhaust is loud enough in the cab so a lil more wont hurt.

Well if your planning the other mods then yes you will require the extra airflow otherwise you find your exhaust temps will increase.

And yes the howl inside the car can be deafening.. I.e. if your the passenger the noise is just annoying at times...

Here are some pics from my GU....
