if it has a NT tank in there they have a bolt drain plug in the fuel tank on the bottom,
if its a WT then get siphoning or remove tank, (4bolts and a few hoses)

I had a look and i cant see a drain on the bottom so looks like i will be siphoning the fuel out i guess that would be the easiest way to do it (but not as efficient as i might not get all of it out.nicbeer wrote:if it has a NT tank in there they have a bolt drain plug in the fuel tank on the bottom,

Do what I did at work, some night staff was borrowing fuel from the drums we carried for the vessels, and so, in a 200l we put fresh water, and added a few liters of fuel.mrRocky wrote:pity your not in my neighborhood or you could just park it out the front
and the next morning hey presto it will all be gone, the locals are good like that around here
Fair nuff, next day, staff member was screaming fit to explode, WE had stuffed up his filter pump injectors etc etc etc, naturally this was his first time, and only then coz he had bills and was not able to pay for fuel that day, AND he was going to tell me at smoko.
Funnily enuf, no fuel was ever taken again
If it breaks, excellent, time for an upgrade
When I did mine, I sealed off the fuel filler and breather with duct tape then blew compressed air along the fuel return rail. This pressurised the tank and blew all the fuel out the fuel supply line. Blew out everything that was there, then put 4L of metho in the tank. Metho helps clean out the lines and absorbs any water.
I then blew compressed air down the supply line (ie reverse direction) to try to clean that line a bit, and to make the metho bubble around the tank a bit. Then blew the metho out using compressed air down the return line.
Finally put a couple of litres of clean fuel in, pressurised that through until it was coming out the supply line nice and clean, then hooked it back up again.
Nice and simple if you've got a half decent air compressor

Oright guys,
Iv cleaned out the fuel tank, Changed the fuel filter, Drained out the Carby. But after doing all this it ran fine! for the entire day then as soon as it became dark it all started again. So i unplugged the dizzy and the took the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carby and cranked the engine over i did this a few times and noticed the fuel pimp was fine but then after a while died then came back to life.
So the pump is on its way out! I have a 1988 Barina with the 1.3L motor and to my knowledge they are the same!? I might try removing the pump from the Barina and putting it in the zook.
