body lift for suzuki sierra

gday all, ive just bought my first car a suzuki sierra 1994. but me and my bro are having alot of trouble putting on the body lift, unlike a hilux u just chuck em in we dont know how to get to the other end of the bracket to undo the bolt, would apprecaite it if you can find me the answer and any other tips about sierras since i am new to sierras and im only 17 cheers guys!

The sierra's have fixed body studs that you don't remove, you need custom made female bolts that attached to the studs.

Pretty sure someone on this forum knows someone who sells full kits for the sierra that are a breeze to fit.

you can't get to the top of the bolt. you need custom female threaded bolts. re-read what just cruizin wrote

One way is to basically cut the floor up to get at the bolt then weld it back together. On a previous Sierra, I had a body lift which had had the floor in the PS footwell cut in a square "C" and folded up to access the bolt. After I removed the body lift (SOA, and 70mm BL

) I welded the floor back up.

Whilst it was presentable I always noticed it and it annoyed me.

I assume you've already started the job? The best thing for you to do is put the tools away, tidy up, have a cup of tea and order one of just cruizin's kits. Flog the blocks and bolts you have now on egay.

i admit i had a 3inch body lift in my spoa when i got it too make it better all was done with no less then RHS welded in. i remeved it and got a 2inch (to clear motor(

yer i really appreciate all ya help guys, i think ill just buy the female bolts and find the right thread to fit inside then just cut the size into the steel cause i havent got the steel cut yet so ill get all that tomorrow again thanks for all ya tips and help bloody awesome guys cheers!!!

dont worry about getting and cutting steel, its really not worth the trouble, just send just cruisin a pm to get his bank details. give him money for his kit.
trust me and im sure alot of others, your not really saving money by not buying his kit, it really is not worth it.
and if you descide to NOT take our advise you will get half way thru the job and think f*%^ this, where does greg live i got to buy the rest now and get it in so i can go trash my car

Just get a kit.It is so much easier to do, J/C kits are the bomb

so easy to use .And the engineers love them

buy the j/c kit. you cant buy the special bolts you need. have to be custom made. my mate tried making his own kit and it is just a fark up. buy the kit, put the kit in (only a few hour work) and then drive it.
