striped tcase speedo holder bolt thread

ive managed to spring the thread in which the bolt goes into to hold the spedo cable to the tcase. im thinking of just redrilling and taping to m6?

any engenering shop should sell em about $20 a kit I think

do you know the size of the bolt and thread?

is it worth doing? wouldnt taping it out be easyer?

M6x1.0 is what you need, not a good idea to drill and resize the bolt has a small point on it to locate the cable better using the correct bolt with heli coil

plus if you stuff it again you dont have to keep going to bigger size bolts

i sell recoil kits at my work.

a full repair kit for m 6 x 1 our RRP $45+
the kits contain tap and 10 inserts.

they're easy as to use. they tell you exactly what size to drill it too. tap it. insert the helicoil insert and *bam* your good as new.

i would definately go this option if it were me.

yer im going to heli coil it but i dont know what size bolt it is. i dont have the case with me as it away getting fixed :x

metric 6mm with a 1mm pitch
