comp bumpstops

Post by steel »

is anyone using an alternative to a hyd,pnu bumpstop for comp applications eg, big air landings? i'd have thought maybe a variable rate poly or rubber bumpstop might be available?

I'm fitting kings bump stops on the front. For the rear I was recomeded landcruiser 80 series bump stop with the first bung cut off. apparantly they compress well and resist bottoming out reasonable well for a lump of rubber.
Anything is possible, it just comes down to time and money.

I've got 80/100 Series rear bump stops (the ones from inside the coil) Front and rear the rear ones are in the factory spot, and the front ones i have made a spacer out of a pice of steal 4"od x 5mm x 40mm tack weded all the way around then you need to grind the outer lip of the bump stop back to the rubber and of set the bolt hole in the tower and it wont rub on anything i have this set up on my day driver, and i got the idea from a Xtreme winch truck from Qld...
