i have my Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge (or Pyro) hooked up now. im getting ready to change my timing chain after 27tho klicks. so i want to turn up the fuel and boost to 1 bar i run at 800 c now on the the EGT so if i turn fuel and boost to match 800 c on the EGT ill should be safe right. or is 1 bar to much for a 2.8tdi? and where is the fuel screw at? is this it

Your pyro probe must be before the turbop to be getting figures like that. 800 is getting up there! From everythihng I have read you wounld't be wanting to go over the 750ish except for a very brief period.

If you raise your boost without altering your fuel you should get those temps to come down nicely. If you as more boost and fuel they will only go higher.

I thought a 2.8 was about 1 bar from factory?

How did you go with the pyro???
Can you post pics of the set up???
I have heard that the spring looses it spring in the waste gate controller so most will have lower then stock boost levels
