feroza verces applause clutch issues

Post by lammychop »

right bought a new clutch for my feroza and the preasure plate doesnt fit the flywheel and its slightly larger than the old clutch
ive come to the conclusion some one has fitted a applause engine my question is are the preasure plate mounting holes slightly different on these 2 models

Not in my experience..... I've interchanged the two without any problems before.

The Feroza has a larger pressure plate area than the Applause but there aren't options available so heavy duty or competition Applause bits are an option that works well.

Although you do need to be carefull, Applause competition pressure plates with comp driven plates are way too sudden for my liking.... a competion pressure plate and stock driven plate gave me much better results - but thats a matter of preference.

They share the same bolt pattern and spline count and go straight on so I'm at a loss as to whats going on.

well the clutch thats on it is a 190mm the feroza one is 200mm if i put the 2 presure plates together the old clutch bolt holes are about 5mm inside the new one
i tried a terrios clutch which is 190mm but the presure plate still didnt fit

i guess my only option is to buy aferoza flywheel and put that on

Feroza's didn't come with a HE ( 1300 ) engine so now I'm confused.
What vehicle have you actually got ?

itsa feroza but the new feroza clutch doesnt fit the flywheel and as stated above the applause and feroza flywheels should be the same so im thinking someone has fitted a 1300 engine from maybe a charade

Easy to tell a HC has ...... wait for it...... "HC" cast into the block, exhaust side rear under No.4 cylinder . HD has......."HD".

AFIK the Charade/Applause HC and HD used the same flywheel and clutch so.....?

I'm wondering if the replacement clutch is wrong ?
