h55f into a440 auto hi/low range gears are they different?

hi just stripped my h55f 5 speed box for full rebuild and found that transfer gears are all chiped and broken so got some a440f auto transmision gears that look the same as h55f ones. just wondering i thought autos had lower gearing in low ratio i read on here a wile back?

i believe they are from what I've researched..

don't suppose you would share where you got your auto transfer?

got it out of my 60 when i did the conversion from auto to man. still got all other bits too.

you should find some numbers in here in relation to what you need. I think its only the low range gear you need for your h55f transfer.

Autos ran thesame gears tioll th square headlight models in 87..then the low gearing went from 1.9 to 2.1...they were the ducks guts for a manual...would still bolt in. These days you can get better than that aftermarket

yep thats were i read it on tried to find it again but with very very veeeeerrrryyy slowwwww internet dident get any where. thanks

mate I have a brand new h55 (not rebuilt new from Toyota) and a fully rebuilt for racing 100% good chasing 3k for the pair. decided to go auto.
