G'day mate try the night runs the logan club run on the first (normally) sat of each month. They are run by reading a stick map to navigate your way around the bush and rated from med to extreme so they test your driving ang nav skills. Every now and then we hold gps runs as well.check out the comp section and keep an eye out for logan night run posts we always anounce them there. That or you could turn up to one of our club meetings at the hot rod club burchil st loganholme 8:00 pm 2nd wed of each month. We are always after members. hope that helps

hey thanks for the reply. i know dave metcalf does alot of organising but the only problem with his events is no matter if it is a gps run a tiki tour or extreme unless ya got a roll cage and a harness you cant enter. my car is a daily driver but dont get me wrong if it gets dented i wont cry. id love to do all the extreme stuff but im more looking for just a fun day if ya win ya win if ya loose ya loose as long as i have fun. i dont mind putting a harness in thats no dramas i just wish there was more events for the little man instead of only for trucks that cost an arm and a leg

I will also be conducting GPS for those that do not have all the safety gear required in the more Xtreme Events.

There will even be one or two where you can bring your family 2 wd along. No dirt what so ever, just some fun using your GPS.

These will be fund raisers for 09 RFC.

So stay tuned.

Cheers

navrun

Post by Hobzee »

Have a look at www.navrun.com.au

I think most of them will be in Vic in 2009. We tried Qld once and only got 4 takers. That kinda ruined it for more attempts.

There has been a few in NSW with medium results. Likely to be more.

The guys in Vic go off and we were getting 40-50 rigs

Rudi is running the Navruns now and his contact details are all on the web site.

Yes, all Navruns are in Victoria this year.

We ran 2 x in NSW but the gov't departments (Lands NSW, Police, etc )are too greedy and everyone wants a slice of your entry fee per competitor- very disappointing. IT would have made it unaffordable for competitors for such a navigational event.

Check us out at www.navrun.com.au

I will be running 2 x Navruns, 1 x navrun After Dark, 1 x Amazing race and the Pursuit.

There is no vehicle requirements for any of these vechicles except you must be licensed and have a road regsiterd vehicle becuase you are on public land.
