gu air filter and vacum drama

Post by leeandlisa01 »

hi everyone i have a 98 gu 4.2 diesel with and aftrmarket turbo set up on it, so it has the oval air filter on top of the engine, i want to get rid of that setup and put a air filter where the pre cleaner is suposed to be(mine doesnt have one)
can anyone suggest a air box/set up i could run there?

and the vacum
every now and then when i am driving around the bush my clutch goes hard to push in and so do my brakes, obvisosly i can still push it in but it wont let me put it into gear though?
car is ment to have a had a safari clutch in it about a year ago?
anything i can check for that might be a problem
thanks
lee

I have a filter box out of a 4.2 GU Factory Turbo that sits in behind the passanger headlight... that should do the trick for your filtration needs and should also bolt up to excisting GU holes... Let me know if your interested in it. Can post for you or P/U in Brisbane
GU 4.2 TD Garrett BB Hi-flow, M8274 + Bells & Whistles with plenty of fruit still on the list!
