Can anyone identify this bit?

Post by Slug »

Have removed the Vacuum and Injector pump from my 96 GQ and sent the pump off for repair.... Doing a big clean up before I start work again and found these laying under the front of the truck!!

No bloody idea what they are or where they came from either

Beats the hell out of me :? No router to have bits laying around for here for miles and the hex is straight cut and not at all sharp. Apologies for the shaky pics... taken pre coffee this morning! I did discover that the 'hex' is a nice slip fit inside the 'button' though

Nope!!
They aint router bits...
They came out of the injector pump head after you removed the injector pipes from the rear of injector pump when you took it off motor.
Dont worry about them tho....these little widgets are automatically replaced when the pump is overhauled.
How do I know this???
Just had mine done ...and 6 of these little doovers were part of the stuff they gave me in a plastic bag after I parted with $1800 bux for o/haul.

Cheers Keith

i thought they were too small to be router bits, and the shafts that go in the router arent long enough? imo anyway
