Door Hinges

Surprise, surprise but after 400,000ks the front door hinges in my GQ are shot.

Has anybody used the after market hinges?

Are they any good?

Do they fit? (some of the cheap aftermarket stuff doesnt quite fit)

Has anybody had anything to do with this seller?:

If anybody has a better option, please suggest.

I seem to remember that you could get rebuild kits for the hinges but the search revealed nothing.

yeah, they fit properly. I bought some about 3 months ago from a different seller but they look exactly the same.

fitted no problems.

Yeah you are right Bogged but it doesnt hurt to scope all your options first.

I need to do the rear barn door as wll as with the weight of the spare on it, it has dropped too. I will have to get those genuine.

but by all means, buy and test them yourself. If you are not planning on keepin the car long they are a good option.

they wear quickly and start sagging.

i think the steel/bush/pin's on them are made from shit steel.

$179 for a pair of genuine ones & they are in stock.

While these ones are cheap the genuine ones are not a bad price.

you can quite easily refurbish your old, nissan sell bushes for the hinges and are reasnoably cheap you need to file the mushroom of the pin down tap out the rods install the bushes then reinstall and mushroom over again. they arent an mq part number but a part off a late model navara

I see you have been into Symes also. I have the bushes. But am going to try the ebay hinges first. If they fail I will fit the bushes to the gen hinges.

It would not seem too difficult a job to replace the standard Nissan plastic bushes with custom phosphor bronze ones which would last a lot longer.

This what Nissan sold me. I think they have a Navara p/n. I will try and remember to check the Nissan part number.

That would be great, I would rather rebuild them, that will be cheaper again & not so much waste as the rest of the hinge is fine with no cracks or bends.
