Pls don't do that. Thats at least part of the way tracks get closed.
Stick to the track there are plenty out there that will be more than a match for your Zuk .
Respect for our tracks is one thing lacking in alot of our young people these days. where i normally go i know where i'm goin just don't choose the easiest path is what i ment to say. you can have extreme fun without rouinin it for others.
Diff gears? Just put rock crawler gears in 6.5.1 i think.
still no 5th gear. what ratio should i change my diffs to.

Just what are you trying to say here?
Peter.

Now is any1 interested in givin a little help with the things i'm tryin to get sorted with my zook.

you're right - it doesn't sound very romantic to me either...
ok - back on topic.
Your diff ratios...
Stock 26" tyre
Stock 3.7 diff ratio
roughly means
Now 33 tyre
Now 4.69 (33/26*3.7)...
So that leaves you with either a 4.62 vitara r and p, or a 5.12 vitara r and p as your obvious choices if you are regearing your car.
Notes:
1. 5.12's are more common
2. i haven't taken into account your x-fer gears since i'm not sure what their high range reduction is.

You may not have come here for a lecture "bout where i drive my zuk" but if you are going to write " i'm the sorta guy that see's sumthin wild off the track and tries to go up it"
and then proceed to post up a pick of you doing just that, you are going to attract some heat.
I don't know you, you may be a top bloke who does the right thing and looks after the tracks that many of us here have worked hard to keep open for the masses, but please understand that a public forum the size of outers tends to attract both good people as well as a few knob heads, and if the uninformed nubees see someone driving over shrubs and bush they think it OK to do as well and then we are over run with knob heads.
If I look closer at your pick I can see a bit of track under the sill so rather than it being a pick of you tearing through the bush with no regard to native flora and forna, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you needed to take a wider line for some reason and also assume that you are not a knob head.
Good luck with your quest for knowledge.
Peter.

Ok a clear mis-understanding here
Sorry to any Outters members i may have Offended.
Off the beaten track was prob a silly thing to say.
in actual fact my pics were takin at my in-laws bush block where we have free run on where and what we do. considering it was on one of the main tracks that picture was takin i dont see how it would look like i was beltin down native bushland.
Sorry guys should have winched it off the track rather than try go round it (maybe the Mrs would have been a little happier too).
What i ment was alot of our tracks are having short cuts around the difficult Hills and wash outs made by people wanting to get city cars (SUV's) up them. Some times even 2 complete different tracks. Due to poor maintance the proper track then becomes over grown and washed out. these are the kind of things i have attempted in the past. very rarely have i ever had any impact on our inviroment.
Now Hopefully with that cleared up
my T/Fer case gears are Marks 4x4 (noisy) and they offer a 18% reduction in high range.
which gears would be best suited. as i am begining to get confusesd with diff ratio's and calculations.
there are a couple of press studs missing from the side and one clip (don't know what you call them) from the back apart from that it is all fitted up as good as i could get it. not sure but do they shrink with time.
Also don't have any support uder the middle as the LWB need it.
