Looks nice

The front seems to work heaps less than the rear. You planning for this to even out when the weight of the cab s on, and the shocks are in etc?

Thats because we were just lifting it, not compressing it with any weight. The front will work really well, and that will make up for the fact that the links were loose in this shot, and the barwork will limit the rear as well. The way Wayno plans to mount the shock shouldnt really impact too much on the travel, but you wouldnt wanna drive it on the road that way. Auto sparky should be getting his job done today, pick up the tailshafts in the morning, maybe we can even drive it before the event? Hahaha! Jeez Im tired....

Sweet, figured that it should even up with full vehicle weight. Looks very tidy.

And one of the best parts of this for me is I get to see it in the flesh in a few days time. I just finished work, so am officially on leave, and depart in a couple of hours time to head down the coast.
BTW, it looks really good, with the colour combination very "illuminating"

And I told Roothy, directly to his face on the Sunday morning in the dining tent, "Thats no way to treat a Daihatsu" Its a real shame, so much work, to have it trashed so carelessly. I know the damage is really superficial, and as someone from BBM I suppose, who was working on it afterwards told me, it did the job that was required of it, but it was still a shame to see it trashed when there was no need for it. The left front was off the ground for most of the climb on the Rocky Horror, yet the loud pedal was just pumped more and more till the flip.
Just my 2c worth.

You can be sure and certain that the last thing anyone wanted was for Roothy to put himself in any danger. I wouldnt chalk this result up to carelessness, perhaps a touch of inexperience, but the man is far from careless.

Is there anymore build pics of this rig, the mag covering build seemed to not give it too much space.

Real shame, I love these budget builds, especially the ones that work as well as this one obviously did.

Cheers, Dano.
