Enquiry mechanic for suzuki grand vitara in Townsville

Hi all,
I just bought a 2005 suzuki grand vitara weeks ago.
And I drive it to a mechanic LM motors (repco) in city to get the RWC.
But after they change replace two tyres and exchange front and rear wheel.
However, after that my car flooded inside and rear wheel and suspension have noise.
Maybe the flood even it a coincident, but the rear wheel and suspension noise is really happened after their service.
I drove the car back and ask them to have a look.
After glance, they said they can not find any problem they made, if I want them to have a detail check, I have to pay the extra work.

Because my wife and I drive this car from Sydney to Townsville, and hear nothing at all. Then we both notice the noise after their service.
And I feel they dont like to explain to me too much, maybe I can not understand fully what they talk about part of car due to my poor Englsih.

Therefore, I want to find another reliable mechanic to have a comprehensive check on my vehicle to make sure every part is alright.
I know there is some reputable one, like ultra tune. But I wonder if they will charge a lot. Or they may not familiar with this kind of 4WD.

I wonder if there is any member live or have lived in Townsville before or have suzuki vitara as well, know which mechanic is reliable and trust.
Then I can just leave my car to them to have a comprehensive check.

Your car was in the floods???

Any squeaks or noises could quite likely have been caused by flood water. If the water was high enough to go inside the car you should get all the oils checked/changes as a minimum (diffs, gearbox, etc...).

There are several OL members in townsville, so hopefully one will know a good mechanic.

yeah if your car was flooded i wouldn't be blaming the mechanic ...

Thanks all replies. and sorry, I did not explain clearly due to my poor English expression.
My car flooded inside because somewhere leaking after heavy rain not because the road flood into my car.
As I said, it maybe just a coincident that after they check the car then it flood.
Although it did not flood at first few raining days I drove.

But the rear wheel noise is definitely relate to their work.
Just on that day they exchange my front tyres to rear and replace two new tyres in the front, I feel the noise when I drive it home.
And I did not mention that to my wife, I'd like to deal with that by myself.
But on the next day, my wife said she feel some noise from rear tyres after she drive to a dancing lesson.
Then I feel its not a simple problem, because even my wife can notice that.....
And when I drove back ask them to check it, they insist the noise is there before they did their work...
So I have nothing to do with that..
Therefore, I dont think the noise is from the flooded..

I know there are several members in Townsville from the search result.
But I can not find any handy information from previous article.
Therefore I post this question and hope some people can guide me a good mechanic.

From a previous thread, i believe water went in from rain/leaking, not driving in deep water.

YES, from some work I have done.
Most the possibility if from seal part of screen window or door.
Some from air con's waste water pipe.
Some from other gap.

But the mechanic I have asked said it should from the steering wheel connection axle ( he used another term but I can not remember)
Therefore, I feel he just fool me and want to find other reliable mechanic.
