Maxxis Mudzillas
Hey, just wanted to know what your opinions are on Maxxis Mudzillas. Thinking about putting these in 33"s on my Hilux. Will 33x13.5x15 fit a Hilux with 2" suspension and 2" body lift? Thanks
I got a set a while back as they were dam cheap. Only been out on them few times and they went well. They do however wear a lot quicker than my BFG muddies, especially when the tyres are spun. Handle well on the road and quiter than the bfg's. I would not run them as a daily drive due to the wear rate. For weekend tyres I'm happy with them.
Anything is possible, it just comes down to time and money.

Hey Scotty,
Make sure you fit them to a wide rim as these tyres will crown reallly badly in the centre of the tread when run on a rim that is too narrow at road pressures.
Seen it happen on a few vehicles that have come through the shop here.
Most people seem to be happy with them off road. For Vic wheeling they'd be a pretty good all round tyre.
cheers
Dan

Duno when they stopped making them, i bought mine in Nov last year. Heard somewhere they just cant advertise them?mmaaxx wrote:they dont make em anymore because maxxis got sued by mickey thompson for copying their Claw design.
The mudzilla's are about an inch wider than any other tyre
Yea the width sizing is accurate just not so much the diameter.

what I meant was normally a you'd get a 33/11.5x16 in most mud tyres but in a mudzilla they are 33/13.5x16
same with the 31, they have a 31/11.5 x15, just wider than most size......you need abit of clearance for the xtra width of them.
tuff looking tyre. anyone use them for daily duties?

Shit if i had of knows this i would of got a new set of 35's to replace my 33's. Too late now i got bloody silverstones
I ran my 33's daily and they wore down real fast. Found them good on rock once aired down
That's wat the first dude I asked quoted before saying he won't be beaten on maxxis prices.joshy wrote:$500? Thats crazy....my 35x13.5 16 where only 300Struth wrote:For 15" and 16" rims you get,
31 x 11.5
33 x 13.5
35 x 13.5
37 x 13.5
About $500.00 each for 35 x 13.5 x 15 before any haggling starts.
Cheers
So I should go back and say I can get them for $300.00, seems pretty cheap?

Bloke in our club last yr at driver training said he got his for $245 in 35's. This was apparently COST price...Struth wrote:So I should go back and say I can get them for $300.00, seems pretty cheap?
