hi guys i got a 60 series and im looking at putting a worked xf EFI 250 crossflow in it and running it on stright gas with a carby, will be turboing it down the track. is this a good idea :idea: or is a v8 the way to go.

what needs to be done to the engine :?:

what carby is the best for this application :?:

who sells the conversion kit, is there anyone hear selling one or knows someone that is.

I would expect the 250 xflow wouldnt have much low down grunt to pull a 60 series around but might be alrite around town or in higher rev range.
iv never had 1 tho so im only guesing.

Iv had a marks adaptor kit and a castlemain kit,they both didnt fit proply but found the castlemain kit better for price and my conversion, also looked alot better than years before/they might have picked up there game?

I've got two around the place and the 250 is a torquey motor and far more happy to pull at low revs than any V6 great motor cheap repairs good economy.

Having said that if your runnning straight gas then why not put a sweet 253 holden V8 with a high torque cam its not over the top with power but also bucket loads of torque and easy repair.

you dont need to run a carby with the gas the throdelboddy will be sufice
and easyer to plump up the turbo but gas injection is the way to go better econamy and more power due to a better burn but you can use a drawthrugh set up
