can someone help me with an easy fix option please

Post by leeandlisa01 »

went 4 wheel dricing on the weekend was heaps of fun in my 4.2 turbo diesel gu patrol but then this morning i went to drive to work and every time i touch or push in the clutch pedal it making a squeeking kidda noise was all good before and has had a safari tuff clutch in it about a year ago

so i tried put the garden hose in the the fork hole and running the car for abit (i thought it might just have had some mud in there)

but it still does it

can someone help with an easy fix rather than me having to pull the box out?

cheers lee

Do the easier things first... lubricate the clutch pedal pivot and return spring/s first (spray on grease), then on from there...

pull the box out, if it seizes on you there goes your safari clutch.......

do the job your self ---- free
pay someone 300-500

plus clutch if you leave it 500

pull it out.....................
build em tuff, drive em ruff.........

no no no never oil anything in the clutch, their saying under ya dash spray the pedal pivot and see if the squeak goes away, although you seem to be sure its in the bell housing which will most likely be the thrust...no easy fix take it out.

and again do not spray anything in the bell housing.
