Post by madrangie »

I have heard lots about these both good and bad , I am in the process of replacing my shocks but the prob i have is finding shocks the right length i spoke to snake today and these were suggested . I need a free length of around 680 for the fornt and 650 for the back if that helps .

Then go to application guides and down the bottom 2001 shock specifications, shows all the lenghts compressed and extended quite handy.

One thing to keep in mind with ranchos, is auto alliance (who I think are the main importer of them) will not give you warranty on them if your not using them in a standard application i.e. 2" lift.

I don't know about other companies who sell them, but I would assume they are all the same.

and mud

your other q s

well it up to you on what shock to buy but the rs9 being adjustable is an advantage as in on road pump them up and off road let them down

heavy load pump them up
no load let em down

front harder than rear and so on
very handy with the in cab set up u dont even need to get out to change them

and that person asking about the new rancho 36 inch shockers can ya pm me again sorry

PRO COMP ES9000 warrant fittment on lifted vehicles provided bump stops are adjusted to suit. same as MX6 monotube adjustable.

and these shocks were used in the outback challenge with no failures!

hay all

i ment to post this the other day

1 auto alliance is not the main importer of rancho they are 1 of
the nsw distributors these guys do import some stock for them self
every now and then
the parent company of rancho is tenneco they import them
along with monroe walker and dynomax products they have there
own offices here in oz

2 i have also spoken at length to my state rep and he informs me
that rancho do warranty there shockers over 2 inchs of lift
comon guys they know that people are useing these shockers in
bigger aplications than 2 inch there not silly they warranty
shocker failure not abuse or incorect fitment

ps
about the outback stuff i wasent there but i did((((( hear)))))
that some of the problems were incorect fitment . as in breaking
eyes off shockers which is not a warranty problem
so decide for your self you will see rancho on alsorts of race
trucks in the usa

just setting the recorde straight as far as i know.........

hayden
