Yellow fuel?

Yellow fuel?
After some troubles with my 88 sierra, we got it running after playing around with the cam gear, it ran fine for a few days then it had trouble in 1st and 2nd with jerking around (felt like a combination of fuel troubles and a slipping clutch)
So I took the fuel filter off, its dirty, as expected but it has yellow fuel coming out
Currently siphoning the tank and it is all yellow!?!??
What would make a cars fuel yellow?
Some kind of additive such as carby/injector cleaner?
any help appreciated

Sorry I forgot to mention I just bought it a few weeks ago, and have had troubles since
Thats why I thought there was additives added to make it run that little better when I test drove
The tank is nearly empty, to dark to keep siphoning now , but I planned on running new fuel on it

ULP 91 is purple, this includes ULPE10
ULP95 and ULP98 are yellow. this includes E95 and E98
diesel is fluroescent yellow or can be clear(watery looking)
octane level/grade of fuel determines the colour dye they put in, not whether it has E10 or not. this is the same for all oil companys.
you have premium grade fuel in the tank (could be 95 or 98), either that or someones been pissin in the tank.
blame the rough running on the dirty filter.

Zooks have tiny jets that block up easily.
I have no tech to back this up.

thats correct, i dont know about the sizing of the jets in your carb but on my bike i only run regular. there is a slightly differnt viscosity between regular and premium. leans out on premium.christover1 wrote:My Sierra won't run on 96 or 98.
