gearbox and engine mounts

Post by Yom »

Hi everyone.

Ive now ruined 2 genuine nissan engine mounts on the driver side (under the injector pump).

I don't believe its my driving style which is probably considered on the harder side of things but no worse than anyone else i go wheeling with and none of them have any issues with this sort of thing ( and my GQ has the least amount of power of all of them so i really dont think its my driving).

Could it be stuffed gearbox mounts causing woes? Has anyone used the aftermarket ebay gearbox mounts with success? I've been told to stay clear of the aftermarket engine mounts (and it makes sense as for my model i can get them for $80 each delivered or something).

Cheers

Drill a hole through your engine mount and put a bolt through it.
