i went spoa, but with longer leaves to gain flex, and i run the leaves almost dead flat to counter excessive lift....
spoa is a massive project to undertake and youll want to consult an engineer. dont forget, brakes, steering, shocks, bump stops all need attention.

thinking about it u really need to increase the wheel base width else it will roll very easy is that where ur coming from ?alien wrote:i went spoa, but with longer leaves to gain flex, and i run the leaves almost dead flat to counter excessive lift....

true - i am undertyred, however the law wouldnt let me engineer larger than a 31.... so thats what i had to run to keep it legal.
My 31's just rub on the headlight buckets right now, but otherwise i have room for about a 33 without modifying anything else. after a 33 i'd need to look at the bump stops and guard trimming.
money_killer - yes, when i went up i also went out in all directions... offset rims and stretched the wheelbase. rims help with side/side stability and the wheelbase makes for a far better ride, and more stable of steep climbs.

Wheel base is length between hub centres. Track width is width between WMS. Both should be increased if you consider SPOA.money_killer wrote:thinking about it u really need to increase the wheel base width else it will roll very easy is that where ur coming from ?alien wrote:i went spoa, but with longer leaves to gain flex, and i run the leaves almost dead flat to counter excessive lift....
