Can anyone give me a verbal description of how to get the front bumper off my P38? The previous owner (god bless him) removed the two main bolts at the front-centre and never replaced them, but there is supposedly a clip at each side that needs to be undone to remove them.
I have found some things that look like clips, but the removal provess is not completely obvious. Is there a trick to this? The clip-like thing I have found is a sort of heavy wire clip, but I can't see how it is meant to undo. Or are there other bolts? One side will slide forward about an inch on its rail but then stops. Anyway I just can't quite work it out and I suspect it's piss easy once you know the secret.
And no, my P38 is not broken or anything so there's no need to laugh, I am just updating an air con pressure switch and need access!

P38 front bumper removal
This is not legal advice.
Hey buddy!
Yeah ive had the front end off mine before. Its pretty easy. You just need to remove those two bolts from the bottom of the bumper, then you need to pull the bottom of the bumper towards you and up. There are no clips but it sits in a "lock in" kinda thing if you get me. Hard to explain. Otherwise you can undo the other bolts further back. There are two bolts in each side. They are joined together and slide out. The only problem is its really hard to get to. My hands were to big to fit in there and a mate had to do it for me with a socket, ratchet, extension and one of those bendy bits that help to get the socet in hard to reach places. Hope this helps. If not I can try and explain it abit better

Sorry it just clicked which part you were talking about haha. Yeah there are clips there. When looking at them you can see that a piece of metal is clipped down into a grove. u need to push that up so it is not locked in anymore. Then from what I can remember it should all slide out. They are pretty tough tho
Thanks, I will give it another stab tonight.Grylls wrote:Sorry it just clicked which part you were talking about haha. Yeah there are clips there.
