I have a Piranha system which is faultless. It has improved performance and reliability, especially on gas.

Also make sure you have the modified rotor button fitted. this will also improve performance & reliability.

it depends what you use.
if just a simple conversion with the same 9V coil you always had, then no not really.

If you use a system that lets you upgrade to a good high output 12V coil,
then yes you can make more power and get better economy.
Though don't expect to just bolt it in and get all gains.
With stronger spark come the ability to use a much larger plug gap.
You might also find a change in ignition timing will help too.
