rod ends / heim joints

Post by dank »

Any one know if its possible to get a heim joint with a 19mm diameter joint and 16mm thread width?

That is where "d" =19mm and "g" = 16mm

as far as i know you can't. i think you can get variations like d= 1" with g= 1-1/4" but not the other way round.

maybe get a 3/4" joint and turn the tail down to 16mm? however it would be hard to grip the joint in a lathe to machine it.

We sell Rod Ends at work, and the thread and bore both match in size on both industrial and racecar series (dont stock this, but same applies and are only available in imperial.) rod ends.

The only variation that i'm aware that I can get is tapered thread in the much much bigger series.

Machining may be your only option.

Yeah I've been looking through a few industrial catalogs and that seems to be the case. Even trolled through some US online sellers but no luck there either. Not a big bother though. Was just interested to find out if such a thing existed.
