Has anybody ever heard of a patrol rear diff being an open diff and not a LSD. If so what year model with what motor did they came with.

Yep, SWB Patrol TB42 think it was a 89' model. Still had a disc rear end too.

x2 i heard they recalled the factory lockers when people where accidently pumping the locker switch causing accidents so they removed the lockers and fitted open wheelers so i heard weather its true or not

there was a proverty pack GQ that had front 1/4 windows and open rear diff. I have a new car broucher(sp) on the GQs at home somewhere and it is shown in that.

mine is an 88 with an open diff. it also has drum brakes on the rear.

mine had open rear and drum brakes....... well it did until i put an air locker in it.

88 model SWB pov pack with vinal floor etc
White GQ LWB, TD42, T3 Turbo, 3" dump & exhaust, 2+3" lift, 35 SIMEX, ARB Lockers F&R, 4.6 ratios, 6hp highmount.
