Hey all, just a quick update.

To date, I have zero entrants in the stock class events. My thought is if in the next week or so I still have no one, this class will be abandoned and I will open up the mod class further.

At this stage, the mod class is almost full, with my thoughts for the time being to extend numbers to 20 for this class. If I don't run Stock, I will open it up to a max of 30 and split the group into 2 & run 2 tracks at the same time.

Oh yeh, can everyone start praying for the rain to stop.

I would need to get at least 8 to 10 noms by the end of next week for me to run the stock class.

I have raised the numbers on the mod class a little already, but if the stock class doesn't go ahead, we we run at total of 32 mods.

Hey there Motorman, everyone is welcome to come and help with the working bee's. We will start at the property at about 8.00am each morning, but turn up when you can.

I currently have 3 nom forms for the stock class. I will need a minimum of another 5 to run this class. That is, I need to have the nom for forms in my hand, not just people saying that they will be in it.

If anyone needs to talk to me about this, you can contact me on 07 4961 8507, but as of 5.30pm tomorrow arvo, I am on a weeks hols, so please let me know if you are going to compete. I will check in with my staff on Saturday to see how many noms for this class we have, & decide whether it will go ahead.

Guy's, & girl's, the stock class is being put on so even those with basic or no mods can come and have some fun to. The tracks you will run will be no tougher than the ones you go looking of every other weekend, the only difference, on Sunday avro you may just get at trophy to take home for your efforts.

Hey all, as of today, we have only 4 places left in the mod class, & 8 in the stock.

And yes, the stock class is now running. After a very good responce over the past day or so, we have just enough to run it, but the full 16 would better, so keep the noms coming in.

recovery point

Post by motorman »

hey guys

gunna be entering in the stock class, and have a recovery point on the front but only have a rated hayman reece towbar on the back, can it be used as a recovery point? i have a rated 3.2t shackel off this and have used it many a time with no dramas.. PLEASE help me out with this one as its the only thing holding me back from entering. oh and when it says no removal of inner gaurds does this mean the plastic inners or other cause mine has'nt had any since i owned it....

cheers motorman

Hey Motorman, I would prefer the use of one of those slide in tounge style recovery points that will fit a Hayman Reece towbar. If you don't have one of these bars, but do have the bolt on tounge style, the use of a rated bow shackle will be ok.

BUT IT MUST BE PAINTED YELLOW OR RED. I WILL NOT MOVE ON THIS POINT FOR ANYONE. The idea of this is for the safety of everyone involved.

Bear, is there a big list of rules written for winching? Im heading up to navi and being a rockcrawler the only thing I use a winch for is pulling the front suspension down  I don't want to get pinned for doing somthing wrong.

Folks, if your trucks aren't ready, please don't feel that you need to come up to the working bee this weekend. I would prefer to do the work myself than have people pull out because they are not ready.
