CV Smasher,
I love your way of thinking - OLD SCHOOL - If you can turn this boxing idea for charity, but preferably a kickboxing event for charity into a reality, then I will gladly donate $3,000 to a charity you nominate, for just 1 sweet minute in that ring with DRS. (what about for MOG65''s cause!)
Wicked,
I was refering to the only picture of a truck on page 6, my Zook, which DRS put up, as for the badge comment, for the sake of that post call it a mini, dodge, ford, holden whatever! - it was in no way aimed at any vechicle other than mine!
Mog65 - Years ago i spent many days in the Allambie Spastic centre, helping as a volunteer - painting stage sets, back drops & working with some of the kids with DS. - I would like to donate $200 to your cause, pleae get in contact with me & give me your details - best wishes with your event!
Regards to all

Chances of a charity match up are slim to none, however funny it would be!
I am more than happy to cop a beating, if it will raise more for charity. -It wouldn't be the first beating i've had.
More importantly, did my response to you, answer & satisfy you on your question?

On a serious note,
Rick O'brien just showed me some pictures of little Bailey in Hospital, his eyes all swollen shut & not looking to good at all.
Rick & Ant, I will prey for a succesful operation this Thursday, and also for a speedy recovery - Best Wishes Guys!
We are currently at $7,303 raised so far!
So to the 26 Teams who have supported this cause, i thank you!

As a Tuff Truck virgin this year coming down from qld, could I have a little bit of info regarding towns/shops close by for groceries and grog?
Dont want to get all the way to Milbrodale only to work out the last supermarket was 100k back up the road.
Also what time do the gates open friday? And is there always a massive line before they open?
thanks everyone. Looking forward to it.

Thanks Mark. I am about to start a Bailey thread in Chit-Chat, so you can all follow his (and Ant's!) progress there. Perhaps Ant will share some of the stuff he has had to endure to get to this point as well.Mark M wrote:On a serious note,

Singleton is the closed town to Milbrodale (about 30km out) which you will come though i'd imagine coming from Queensland. The gates open Thursday morning for competiors only though.vanbox wrote:As a Tuff Truck virgin this year coming down from qld, could I have a little bit of info regarding towns/shops close by for groceries and grog?

FOR ONE AND ALL,
Gates opening for spectators is 10am Friday morning 27th March and will stay open 24 hrs through to close of event at 8pm Sunday 29th March where all spectators / campers are required to vacate the property / site.
We anticipate the usual crowd that turns up to queue friday morning and 3 cheers to you all. we love your enthusiasm !!! Please assist our crowd and camping marshalls whilst queuing and entering the site, they are there for your convenience and especially for the safety of all.
Please take note - The General Camping area has been RELOCATED. that is the party area. You will now be on the opposite side from where you were and up behind and away the Dam near the Mud event. It is a much bigger area for you all. There will be plenty of signage to show you way to each camping area and also there will be Helpful Camping Marshalls to assist you as well. Could we also ask that this year - for the safety of all - that you do not camp in the lane ways marked out - this allows for the movement of any emergency vehicle and also for your own movements should you wish to exit the site for any reason, however there will be NO vehicler movement by any spectator around the campsites for any reason unless you are planning on leaving the site as stated above.
I wish all competitors the very best and I hope you all do well, I wish to all spectators to have the best time ever and a safe time at TTC 09
Kind Regards,

Yer, this is a great way to encourage the sport and attract more people to come and watch...
Im sure that If I was a noob googling info for TTC and came across this thread and saw all the competitors going at each other wanting to 'get their 1 sweet minute' I would think twice about turning up or even bringing a family....
but thats just my 2c.
now back on to what we are all really here to talk about.....
Who would prefer a wet weekend or a dry???
I reckon a shower over the weekend wouldnt be bad to keep the dust down but a sunny weekend would be awsome!

How about you go & read all the posts leading up that statement - and see just how many other people suggested that idea!
It was not my idea, i did think it was funny - & i mearly stated if they can turn it into a reality then i will jump in ! - ALL FOR CHARITY - FOCUS ON THE FACTS, of whats being said & why & the benefits!
I am, as previously stated willing to do whatever (obviously legal only) to raise money for charity.
However, also previously stated, its got a slim to 0% chance of happening.
End of it
